FREEDOM LIES IN BEING BOLD.
“I plan to continue to bring Constitutional Carry until the people of Louisiana get those rights and next year it’s going to be on the docket and every year I’m there until it gets passed, that’s my plan,” said McCormick.
McCormick was recently highlighted as a champion for conservatism after receiving the highest score on CNLA's Louisiana scorecard.
"You know I'm always fighting for people's liberty to choose what they do or don't do to themselves. What (HB 103) does is an employer who does not mandate the vaccine for his employees cannot be sued because he doesn't do that. It also (forbids) the government to take away his permit for not mandating the COVID-19 vaccine."
"We are at a tipping point. We are either moving toward liberty or toward communism and fascism."
There was a victory for residents of Caddo Parish who live just outside the city of Shreveport. The state Senate unanimously passed a bill giving those residents a break from having to live under city zoning codes.
ICYMI: "McCormick is the State Representative from Shreveport who sent out a letter to his colleagues Thursday urging them to come together to end Louisiana’s economic shutdown.
That letter has become something of an online sensation in the last couple of days."
“I will not comply and encourage others to exercise their freedom of choice, as well. We are anxious to see the outcome of our legal petition to re-open the state as it’s heard in the Louisiana State Supreme Court. In the meantime, we are coming up with solutions to defend small businesses from these tyrannical edicts. At the end of the day; it’s the responsibility of the American People to defend our Constitutional and God-given rights, and we will explore all options to do so going forward.
“Look, when you’re paying taxes and you still don’t have a decent bridge that, well, kind of makes you angry,” McCormick said. “It puts me in mind of the Roman Empire, except it’s only circuses, no bread.”
“We’re thrilled to knock on doors and connect with voters on behalf of these freedom fighters in Louisiana,” the President of YAL said in a recent press release.
